ABOUT YOUR TRAINER
Raced with the likes of Troy Bayliss in the early 90s.
Riding on the road for over 50 years without accident.

The core focus of OUR course is to give riders the tools to be the master of the machine itself with a much greater understanding of the skills and techniques that are an essential component of being in total control of the machine under any circumstance. This is not a course on how to race, nor just roadcraft. However, if you intend to do a track day at some time and would like a bit of a head start all of these skills are ESSENTIAL if you wish to go fast safely.
The course is one to one and not part of a large group.
Subjects covered in depth include...
Body position (reducing your lean angle for the same speed in a corner with increased safety margins)
Tyre choices and their effects
Countersteering (and gyroscopic precession, they actually are separate things)
Braking and Advanced braking techniques
Braking into the corner (trail braking, no it is not just a race technique)
Throttle Control and how it affects both grip and suspension
Motorcycle setup
Handling problems diagnosis
What is the “right” line given the circumstances?
Turn in points, where is the proper apex? Late apexing.

Courses are flexible and based upon the type of riding YOU want to do and experience.
The course is usually broken into two sessions. Session one £90 (theory only no bike required so any weather) covers the subjects of Advanced Braking, Steering (cornering), Line choice, Moving on the bike, Body position, Trail Braking and more. You need to set aside a FULL day for part 1. Session 2 consists of a quick revision of section 1 plus a suspension setting checkup and a minimum of 4 hrs on the road (£60). Additional on road sessions available at a reduced rate after the first “on road”.
